WARSAW, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- Poland has introduced sanctions on 35 Russian companies, including Gazprom, Novatek and Acron, and 15 Russians and Belarussians, Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski said on Tuesday.
"The Polish blacklist is an adjusted E.U. blacklist. It targets the Russian oligarchs and firms working on the territory of our country today. The first blacklist has been published today, it comprises 50 items," Kaminski said.
The official also said that Russian businessman Vyacheslav Kantor owning about 20% in Poland's Azoty, all companies from the territories of self-proclaimed republics in Ukraine that sold coal to Poland, PhosAgro, the oligarchs connected with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Beloil are on the list.
Climate Minister Anna Moskwa said that Poland had suggested the E.U. introduce a tax on the use of Russian fuel. She said that not all E.U. states are ready to abandon Russian fuel, but the tax will motivate the countries to accelerate transition to other energy sources.
